Two years after massive South Asian earthquake, aid agencies are warning that nearly two-million people are facing a Himalayan winter without proper shelter, winter is now the greatest threat in Northern part of Pakistan (Kashmir).
At least 90 percent of the town’s buildings were destroyed, including the school, where hundreds of children were buried alive. Pakistan is a Muslim state, you may not be aware that there is a significant Christian community in Pakistan, and they have faced particular difficulty because of the earthquake disaster in 2005, The help distributed by the authorities does not always reach the more remote Christian communities, a number of which have churches in my care, hundreds members of our churches died, including Pastors; and churches were destroyed; and there are many families are still facing the need to repair housing, find continued medical care, and rebuild their lives. Disciple Union Ministries helped directly to affected christian families in earthquake zone.

God have heard the prayers... |
Through obedience of His Children | PRAYER REQUEST 1. Pray for all the victims of the earthquake in Pakistan, India and Afghanistan, the bereaved, the injured and those who have lost their homes and livelihoods. Pray for strength for those who are seeking to help them. Thank the Lord for the generous aid being contributed by the international community and pray for it to be distributed in a fair and appropriate way. 2. Remember in prayer our Christian family in Pakistan; the majority were desperately poor even before the earthquake. Pray for Christians directly affected by the earthquake that they may know the comfort and provision of their heavenly Father. Pray that their attitude of hope, joy and peace will be a blessing and inspiration to others. 3. Pray about the expected knock-on effects of the earthquake. Pray that those in authority in Pakistan will take steps to ensure that the needs of all are met in a just and equitable way, and that Christians are not discriminated against.
