Together with three others, I visited Pakistan for eleven days in February 2007 at the invitation of Brother Augustine Joseph, Presiding Bishop of Disciple Union Ministries in Lahore. On a personal level, Brother Augustine admirably fulfilled the command of Hebrews 13:2, despite the fact that we were evidently not angels! During our time in Pakistan I personally spoke at nearly a dozen different churches and leaders’ meetings as arranged by our brother.
I was impressed by the wide variety of churches gathered under the “umbrella” of DUM and by the caring and supportive relationship that existed with them. I believe that Brother Augustine has a genuine heart to help and encourage pastors in Pakistan, some of whom are labouring faithfully in difficult situations, and that this is reflected in the work Disciple Union Ministries is carrying out. I commend this ministry to you.
